Dr. David Bieler's section of "Daily Bread: Sustainability in Paris" spent the afternoon exploring an elevated urban greenspace called the Viaduc des Arts, near the Place de la Bastille. They observed the diversity of plants and the organization of space, and made comparisons between the greenspace and the urban architecture surrounding it. There was definitely time to stop and smell the flowers, and even sometimes the plants.
